2008
11.16.08 Prints are now also available through
Etsy
and eBay.
8.13.08 I've been named
"Artist of the Day" on Brooklyn
Art Project.
8.1.08 The website has been revamped and
is now live!!! 14 new pieces have been uploaded and are contained
within the newly restructured galleries which are accessed
from the home page.
The series “The Dark Carnival” and “Requiem
In Oblivion” appear for the first time, containing 6
of the new pieces. More will soon be added to each as I intend
to fully explore both projects for some time to come.
The “Requiem In Oblivion” series deals with themes
involving figures in dystopian or barren landscapes/scenes.
Whether these environs are in some sort of Pagan or Christian
concept of limbo or purgatory, or a post-apocalyptic type future
where mankind inhabits a ruined world with none of the modern
comforts of industry and technology, or if these scenes
are simply allegories for one’s own internal state of
being, or perhaps a dark dreamstate (or maybe all of the above?), or some other theme, will be up to the viewer to interpret.
“The Dark Carnival” series will be more diverse
in theme, dealing with concepts of death, ritual, suffering, the arcane,
myth, religion, atrocity, oppression, violence, the human
condition and the darker aspects of the human psyche.
Though, as with anything, these themes may expand or evolve
as the series grow over time.
Another new feature of the new site is the store page where
more prints will become available (transactions are made securely
through Pay Pal); this news area you are now reading and a
link to my blog, “Sex, Death and Misanthropy”
for those interested in such meanderings and rants.
Enjoy!
